This is just one reason why I love Shelley so much. It’s valentines day and so far she’s taken Theo to Tescos & done the shopping – tidied up and made sandwiches for everyone. My mum has been round to see Theo for the first time - and now I get to play in the garage !
Since Alex is here, I’ve taken the opportunity of an extra pair of hands to help out. We’ve manovered and test fitted the repaired clam – making sure it still fits the car before it gets taken away next week for its respray. I’ll admit it was a bit of a relief when it dropped into position and still fitted without any cracks or creaking.

Time to put the car back together again. The new tow eye and replacement driver lights are now fitted – along with the supplmental front cabling now run and fixed in place.
Before the mechanical work, the front clam is going to need its respray – covering up all the repair work. Once the clam has been painted, dried & cured, then the car is off to have its new suspension fitted and have it’s MoT. With a set of Nitrons on order, new door latches and CL actuators – then the car should stroll it’s MoT and be back on the road ready for the spring.

The hospital actually provide a user manual for Dads. It goes on about restricting visitors for the first few days – ensuring that mum gets her rest and should any visitors come round, that they should make their own tea & coffee - as Mum & Dad have enough to do. Obviously the authors of this book have never met the Pollards or the Harrisons.
It’s been like Picadilly Circus for the last few days – to be honest, we prefer it this way. Just about everyone has had a look now and we can start to get into a routine before I go back to work on Monday morning.
For those friends who log into this blog for Lotus and car content – don’t worry, normal service is about to resume. Inbetween visitors todayI actually got to work on the car for a short while. It won’t be long before the car is back on the road.

Thank you all for the exceptionally numerous emails, phone calls and text messages. Extra special thank you’s for the flowers, gifts & cards – anyone would think it was Christmas ! I’ve stuck a few more photos up today - but the pick of the crop has got to be the look on “Uncle Steves” face – but even so, you just know in 18 years time the pair of them will probably be having a few pints in “Schnapps” – Scunthorpes lowest level nightclub.
Everyone is home now and we’ve a few days of getting into a routine before I have to return to work.

So here he is – at long last. Born at 01:18 on the 3rd February 2009, weighing in at 8lb 41/2oz, say hello to Theo Pollard.
There’s plenty of more photos online already, but you will need a password to get into the family photo album. It’s the same password I sent around when we got married - and if you are reading this because I sent you a text message or an email, well you should have the password again! If I know you and you don’t know it - send me a text message and I’ll gladly pass it on ( you better put your name in the text, incase I don’t that number in my phones address book ).
