That’s it – I go back to work and young mister Pollard has decided to become mobile. He’s now rolling over and onto his stomach, kicking his legs and he’s determined to be on his way.
It’s been a while since I published the fact that I’d uploaded new pictures to the Family Album within the Image Gallery. There’s two new galleries – one each for July and August.

A busy couple of weeks ahead with Job Interviews – so I thought I better start getting some of the jobs at home finished off.
Where the new patio is going to be, there was a very large tree – which with the chainsaw came down very nicely. I even managed to get rid of most of the branches into the garden shredder without incident. Rather than dragging them off to the council tip, I decided to chop the larger branches / trunks into logs for those people in the village who have real fires. A couple swings of the axe make short work and soon I had bags full of logs cut into 6″ lengths. However one swing of the axe snapped a branch some what more quickly than others and send a log flying straight back at me, the result – a thick lip and a very sore cheekbone.
So, the next job is working out how to explain this in the interview panels.

Why no blog entry yesterday ? Surely a day lying on the sofa would give you time to write something ?
Well guess again. After watching “Clerks“, “Clerks 2“ and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” I managed to shuffle around a bit yesterday afternoon ( anything to avoid watching “Loose Women” ). Unfortunately this had serious repercussions last night when I discovered pain. This pain wasn’t the nice sort that Mr T has as a friend and introduces people to unless they buy a Snickers bar. This was the sort where you can’t move a muscle and just want to shout as loud as you can for hours on end.
Anyway, I have a new friend call Co-Dydramol that makes the pain go away - but has the side effect of making want to chunder and fall fast asleep.
I guess I wont be making the NYLOC drive to the sea side tomorrow - nor the Newby Hall Cars in the Park event on Sunday either. About the only thing I will get to do is watch seven series of “24″ and maybe make a new groove into the sofa.

So it’s been a long day - I had my op this morning ( home for 10.30) and Theo’s had all his jabs this afternoon. Needless to say it’s crabiness city in the Pollard home this evening. Life on the sofa for the next few days has started badly – my plans to become godlike on “Call of Duty“ had to be shelved when it suffered a Red Ring of Death. So thats no Xbox for the next 3 weeks…
With daytime TV offering nothing and without any books to read, it was up to the Popcorn Hour Media Player to keep my mind away from the aches and strains. So it’s only been 11 hours and I’ve already watched the entire first series of Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Only 4 more days to go…

It’s been another month since the last update – quite an unlucky month in many aspects, but at least Theo’s still smiling as we approach May.
35 new photos added to the family album detailing the last few months and at some point in the next few days I’ll start to post the chronicles of UnluckyMcUnlucky, of the clan McUnluck. They say that bad things come in threes - but why does it have to be three 3′s for me ?

Here’s the thing about spending two days in the garage playing with one toy - you can be made to feel guilty that you didn’t spend that time in front of a computer sending photo’s out to the world about a certain 6 week old baby Pollard. Even my mum phoned up yesterday to check up on progress…
So for the family members and well wishers out there, there is now an additional baby album uploaded in the “Family Gallery” section of the site. Same password as before – but photos from the last 4 weeks.

The hospital actually provide a user manual for Dads. It goes on about restricting visitors for the first few days – ensuring that mum gets her rest and should any visitors come round, that they should make their own tea & coffee - as Mum & Dad have enough to do. Obviously the authors of this book have never met the Pollards or the Harrisons.
It’s been like Picadilly Circus for the last few days – to be honest, we prefer it this way. Just about everyone has had a look now and we can start to get into a routine before I go back to work on Monday morning.
For those friends who log into this blog for Lotus and car content – don’t worry, normal service is about to resume. Inbetween visitors todayI actually got to work on the car for a short while. It won’t be long before the car is back on the road.

Thank you all for the exceptionally numerous emails, phone calls and text messages. Extra special thank you’s for the flowers, gifts & cards – anyone would think it was Christmas ! I’ve stuck a few more photos up today - but the pick of the crop has got to be the look on “Uncle Steves” face – but even so, you just know in 18 years time the pair of them will probably be having a few pints in “Schnapps” – Scunthorpes lowest level nightclub.
Everyone is home now and we’ve a few days of getting into a routine before I have to return to work.

So here he is – at long last. Born at 01:18 on the 3rd February 2009, weighing in at 8lb 41/2oz, say hello to Theo Pollard.
There’s plenty of more photos online already, but you will need a password to get into the family photo album. It’s the same password I sent around when we got married - and if you are reading this because I sent you a text message or an email, well you should have the password again! If I know you and you don’t know it - send me a text message and I’ll gladly pass it on ( you better put your name in the text, incase I don’t that number in my phones address book ).
